It is the equipment, stupid. For me to consider hitting a golf ball an AVERAGE of 321.4 yards is beyond my wildest dreams unless I can force myself to come up with some big bucks for some good equipment to replace my durable and paid-for 1960's Haig Ultras. I have always been able to hit a cheap, nicked ball a satisfactory 220-250 yards (I can't chip or hit long irons) without straining myself financially for the latest titanium-graphite drivers. 320 yards is literally out of sight for me. I would probably lose 18 golf balls every round if I could hit something that far.
